Just before the end of 2003, I finished my first Jack Daniel's bottle. It seemed morally wrong to simply dispose of the bottle, so I set my mind to thinking about what I could make of it.

I wanted something that I could use often. So, after much debate, I decided to go with a crushed red pepper shaker. I had purchased a rather large container of crushed red pepper awhile back, and I had only used about 1/4 of the contents.

After rinsing the Jack Daniel's bottle and letting it dry out overnight, I drilled 7 little holes in the lid. After that, I simply poured the crushed red pepper into the bottle and I was done. The finished product is displayed below.
