I waited til real late (5:05pm) to call everyone and tell them about eating beforehand, so I'm surprised anyone came at all. Through the confusion, not all the night's attendee's were invited to come eat with us, so I personally apologize if anyone got left out. It was my fault for waiting so late. In any case, 9 of us got to meet at Toot's and wait 40 minutes for a table. After that, we split up and headed toward the Holt's. Jared, his bro, and Jake headed on to the destination. Jeremy went back to his apartment to get his Beer Mix CD. Traci and Kennye went to Sam's to get a party tray and a big ass jar of salsa. Me, Boog, and James went to Total Beverages to get some beer, and there we met the Canary Crew. Derek called us on the way over and reported that he was having car problems. His battery was crapping out on him so he had to go get a new one. Way to go, Derek, for taking the initiative of changing your car battery just to make it to the party. After we all got settled in at the Holt's house, we started discussing the order in which the Beer Mix CDs would be played. James and I had devised a complex system of drawing numbered bottle caps out of a ziplock bag; however, we hesitated with our plan. Jared, eager to get the Beer Mix started, decided the order for us and started 'em up. Cranium was the first game to be unleashed. It was 5 girls against 37 dudes (how ya like them odds, ladies?), so of course the dudes won. Bryan showed up right when we were starting Cranium, but he had to leave early. Sophie had been neutered that day and apparently wasn't feeling well; Heather didn't even get to show up--we missed you gal! After Cranium, we started up some Circle of Death. The rules for this one was a bit different from the Pre-BBP; I think I had the rules confused a bit. This time, we decided to put an empty glass in the middle instead of a beer. Anyone who drew a King had to pour some of what they were drinking into the glass. Some of the concoctions looked nasty. Derek showed up around this time, so we made sure he caught up fast. Kennye drew the 4th King of the first game, then Jared, and then I think Jake drew two (that poor bastard). I also hear rumor that Derek had to drink the middle too. I was a little disappointed that Jeremy didn't get the 4th King, that's why I kept setting up the game! The night blurred by me around this point. Apparently, Jared blew out his candles and served some of Amy's Oreo dessert. Awesome job, Amy. Bryan pointed at his ears...again. A few tequila shots were taken--and maybe shouldn't have been. Amy stated that she'd go for J-Lo and Shelby would go for Salma Hayek (her original choice was Carmen Elektra, but we changed her mind for her)! I sat on Traci and made her spill her drink on Kennye's couch. Jeremy chased Lucy around the room about 50 times. James got a pic of three people staring at my ass with varying emotions on their faces. Justin spent most of the night on the floor. Lucy made a bed in Derek's jacket (obviously dillusional at that point). Everyone went out the back door and walked around to the front to "scare the smokers". I was left inside shoeless because Kennye stole my shoes (they had been soaked with beer a few nights earlier on behalf of Jeremy). And, the fun goes on and on... All in all, it was a great night. I think it was better than the Pre-BBP by far. Thanks again to the Holt's for hosting it. We hope to see everyone at the BBP 2! |
